The project partnership is built on an international principle and sectorial approach. It consists of 7 partners from Bulgaria, Italy, Spain and Turkey. The structural scheme of the project is arranged in compliance with the Leonardo da Vinci II requirements including 3 Universities, a Research center, 3 SMEs and a Consortium, thus ensuring performance of the project activities on a broad international area. The infrastructure and competencies of each partner’s organization determine the multinational and interdisciplinary character of the project partnership. Also, the individual activities of each partner and their professional expertise and experience will contribute to the fulfillment of the project specific tasks, which are subordinated to the project management plan and governed by the project coordinator and management consortium. The functioning and experience of NOVAe-MED project partnership will also be facilitated by the broad activity and previous collaboration within Leonardo da Vinci and Socrates programme between the Sofia University and Consortium TUCEP, which will apply and upgrade the good practices in this field. Project Contractor is the Medical Center "Polymed" JSC , which is a modern clinic offering diagnostics, consultancy and therapeutic services, as well as clinical and microbiological laboratory analysis. Its main obligations within the project structure concern the arranging and governing of all financial matters. The Center also takes part in the performance of project specific actions. Its staff comprises of more than 50 leading specialists in various areas of contemporary medicine, whose professionalism is proven by the great number of patients registered in the last few years and can contribute to the project partnership for elaboration of project outcomes. Their established relations with The Bulgarian Health Insurance Fund, their network for medical assistance to SMEs and other enterprises, their GP professionals’ permanent availability and their relations with the ‘First Aid’ sector are a perfect prerequisite for the broad dissemination and exploitation of the project results and outcomes.

The project coordinator is "SYCO-PHARMA" Ltd. , a company with a main field of activity in production, engineering, export and re-export of pharmaceuticals for human and veterinary medicine, as well as medical consumables, cosmetics, dietary supplements. As a project coordinator, ‘SYCO-PHARMA’ Ltd. will be responsible for all project activities – establishment of the project management structure and monitoring of the activities of its structures; all curriculum development actions, including testing and feedback of the project's products; performance of project valorization actions; establishment of a network of associated project partners; organization of project coordination meetings and distribution of the project tasks among the partners. The overall coordination of the fulfillment of project specific actions will be ensured due to the professional experience and competence of the specialists employed in the company.

The Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Scientific Research Department (NIS) is an independent structure of the Sofia University, which main activities are focused on the management and practical implementation of scientific research and consultancy activity. This structure was established to facilitate the transfer of specialized knowledge from Bulgarian universities, higher schools, and research centers to industrial sectors and organizations in the corresponding areas. NIS can offer the project partnership its professional experience in governing international projects along with various EU research and educational initiatives - LdV I and II, Socrates/Erasmus, Minerva/Grundvig, 6th FP. As a project partner, it will be responsible for the elaboration of the shared training modules of the programme. It will participate in the dissemination and exploitation of the project results and outcomes through the established network of universities, research units, industrial organizations and SMEs.

The Research and Development Center "Biointech" was founded in accordance with the European strategic goal to increase the role of R & D in turning new knowledge into education and technological innovations. It promotes research and development in the area of health protection, information and communication technologies by bringing together experts in that field from Bulgarian and European universities, research organizations, industry and social institutions. R & D Center ‘Biointech’ unifies experts who can offer to the project partnership their experience adopted during the government of multinational projects within different EU initiatives – Copernicus, Tempus, INCO-Copernicus, Socrates/Erasmus, LdV I and II, etc. The Center will be responsible for the smooth local management of the project's specific activities and coordination of all phases of the project's life. It will organize and perform various testing sessions and workshops for dissemination and exploitation of the project results and outcomes. Additional contribution of the Center to the valorization initiatives will be the disposition of its international net of educational/research institutions and other supporting bodies.

The Andalusial Stem Cell Bank is created on the basis of the health and social interest and defined socioeconomic development programme of Andalusian government. The bank is composed of two sections - tumor and tumor line bank and stem cell bank, both comprising research groups with expertise in cell lines and reparative medicine. It ensures the supply of cell lines, thus guarantying adequate quality control, safety and confidentiality throughout the process. This institution will be responsible for local management of the project activities in respect to the financial ruling and specific actions’ development. Based on its expertise and professional experience in stem cell research as a core of restorative – regenerative medicine, this partner will take care of the elaboration of the project products. It will also contribute to project dissemination and exploitation of the results due to the established relationships with other Cell Line Banks at national and international level. This is a prerequisite for the development of a professional network for popularization of the project's ideas, objectives and outcomes.

TUCEP is a regional Consortium created in the Umbria region of Italy. Members of the Consortium are 13 universities and 32 enterprises and associations, which unify their efforts for promoting and developing collaborative actions between universities and non-formal training bodies through performance of research projects. The activities of the Consortium include organization of training courses in Italy and abroad in the relevant field; administrative management of training projects presented at the University of Perugia and entrusted for agreement to TUCEP; management of numerous projects in the COMETT European projects domain; organization of training courses for the Institute of Foreign Trade; scientific and administrative co-ordination of a project designed for young researchers, presented to the Ministry of Scientific Research; administrative and organizational management of formative projects regarding study scholarships for graduates in Italian enterprises. This broad experience will contribute to the project’s partnership for the project managerial activities, specific tasks performance, and dissemination actions.

Akdeniz University unifies the higher educational institutions established in Antalya, Isparta and Burdur. The university comprises 11 faculties and employs 1644 academic staff, providing places for 15.000 students in vocational schools, bachelor and master degrees, and doctoral programs. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department of the Faculty of Medicine has an inpatient and an outpatient unit, as well as a pediatric stem cell transplantation unit. It admits approximately 50 newly diagnosed hematological malignancy and solid tumor patients annually. The Department has been practicing stem cell transplantation (autologous and allogeneic) since June 1998; the pediatric stem cell transplantation unit is the only one in Turkey. Based on this profound experience in the field of NOVAeMED, this partner will contribute to the specific project actions taking care for the elaboration of the curriculum materials. The University of Akdeniz will also actively participate in the project valorization activities with its commitment to establishing a research environment where basic and practical science projects are encouraged with regard to both local and global dimensions.
